About K Jones Photography

I can say that photography has been a part of my life from my earliest recollection. We can alll remember the vacations, birthdays and special moments that demand pulling out the instamatic, polaroid or 35 mm camera. The small details of life are soon forgotten if we don't capture them in some way. A photograph can say as much about your unique perspective as it can about the subject in the frame.

My formal interest in photography came in high school, taking photos for the school and local newspapers. There were very few professional photographers in my small town, so I found many opportunities to develop my skills.

I took the next step and completed my degree in photography in 1988, at The Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. College was an incredible chance to open my mind to new perspectives and to make connections with people in the industry. I moved to the Chicagoland area soon after graduation and have been active in the photo community ever since.
